Causes of Foot Pain

The Foundation of Your Body Under Pressure

Foot problems can make even short walks difficult. It can feel like soreness, sharp stabbing pain, or burning—affecting your ability to stand, balance, or move freely. Often caused by poor posture, improper footwear, or structural misalignment.

Foot problems can appear minor but majorly changes your life — even short distances from walking, standing, or other simple movements can be uncomfortable. It can feel like soreness, stabbing pin point pain, burning, or numbness, and it affects posture, balance, and stability. Although foot pain is often attributed to weariness, shoes, or lack of movement — it can typically be attributed to incorrect posture, bodily misalignment, or shoes that are not aligned to your foot’s natural arch and gait. If any part of your body is not aligned from head to toe, the weight bearing onto your feet will change or shift — putting pressure and strain on your joints, muscles, ligaments, or nerves. Plantar fasciitis, flat foot pain, heel pain, etc. arise when the foot is compensating for a misalignment of the hips, knees, or spine. The body will compensate for the misalignment, which can impact the gaiting (walking) pattern, balance, and lead to pain in other areas including the ankles, knees, and lower back.
